Snow is coming straight from New Mexico Highlands University, where he spent five years most recently as the director of athletics. On September 2017, Snow became NMHU’s interim director of athletics while also working as the men’s basketball coach. This past April, Snow became the full time athletic director, while associate head coach Mike Dominguez got promoted to the head coach position.
Before his time with the Cowboys, Snow was with the Lobos from 2011-2014. He was a video administrator during his first year, director of basketball operations the second, and assistant coach the third. During Snow’s third year with the Lobos, he helped the team pick up a 27-7 record, a Mountain West Tournament Championship and a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament. New Mexico got as high as No. 17 in the national rankings. After three seasons of Snow being part of UNM, the school saw an 84-20 overall record, three conference titles and three appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
“Craig’s previous successes with the Lobo basketball program and his passion for the university and state provided an amazing opportunity for our program,” said Lobo head coach Paul Weir in a statement.. “I am incredibly thankful to Craig for joining us and continuing the journey of taking this program back to some of the great heights that he himself has enjoyed here.”
