Rick Pitino and the Iona Gaels coming to The Pit

It’s happening. We are getting a Pitino vs. Pitino matchup.

Rick Pitino and the Gaels are heading Albuquerque on Dec. 18, the Iona head coach shared the news on Thursday. The New Mexico Lobos will play in New York in the 2023-24 season as this will be part of a home-and-home series.

This won’t be the first time Pitino visits The Pit, but it will be his first time coaching there against his son Richard Pitino.
