JJ Caldwell commits to New Mexico

Former Texas A&M guard JJ Caldwell (and former ESPN Top 100 recruit) announced he has committed to the University of New Mexico Lobos via Twitter on Friday evening. 

After redshirting the 2016-17 season, he played in 16 games with the Aggies (five as a starter) and averaged 2.9 points and 2.6 assists. Caldwell was dismissed from the program on February 2018.

In May 2018, the 21 year old said he would forego his college career and announced he would pro. However, he has now decided to continue playing basketball at the college level and should be available for at least two seasons.
