University of New Mexico senior Hayden Schilling was announced as the Mountain West Player of the Week on Monday. He earned it after registering two hits in each of the four games the Lobos played last week. His average was .471 (8-for-17).
Schilling’s five RBI on Friday’s 14-2 win against the San Jose State Spartans was a career-high.

The Lobos had two players representing them two weeks ago. Senior Jared Mang was Player of the Week, while junior pitcher Nathaniel Garley was the conference’s Pitcher of the Week.
