The New Mexico Lobos men’s basketball team will open 2022 with a road game against the Nevada Wolf Pack on Jan. 1. This will be their Mountain West conference opener.
New Mexico (7-6, 0-0 MW) is coming off a 68-54 win over Norfolk State. The Lobos had their game against Colorado State (originally scheduled for Dec. 28) postponed due to Covid-19 issues with the Rams.
Nevada (6-5, 0-0 MW) took an 88-61 loss to No. 6 Kansas on Wednesday. The Wolf Pack’s conference opener against the San Jose State Spartans was postponed, also due to Covid-19 concerns with the opponent.
The game is scheduled for Saturday at 7 pm MT and can be watched on FS1.
